About the Topaz Shade

Topaz  is a warm, glowing shade inspired by the rich golden tones of the topaz gemstone. The colour sits somewhere between a honey gold and soft amber, we always feel that this is like a warm antique gold especially when talking]king into account the gentle caramel undertones. The effect of the double satin weave on this colour is that it enhances the shades depth and warmth, the weave also  allows light to reflect  from both sides (as its double satin) and enhances the look of the colour by giving the ribbon a subtle but definite sheen, this helps to prevent the colour from looking flat.

Topaz works extremely well with earthy shades such as chocolate brown, olive and rust, it also complements deeper tones like navy, burgundy and forest green which gives for a more dramatic colour palette. Is Berisfords Double Satin ribbon environmentally friendly?

The answer is simply Yes! This ribbon is extremely environmentally friendly as it is woven from 100% recycled polyester, helping reduce environmental impact compared to virgin polyester products. The recycled polyester comes from 2ltr plastic drinks bottles that are shredded melted and extruded into very fine new polyester fibres. These are then treated and plied together to make new polyester textile products. Even the reels that this ribbon comes on are made from 100% recycled post consumer plastic, which comes from items such as plastic freezer and fridge interiors!
