What makes The Ribbon Double Satin & What Does It Mean?
The term Double Satin tells us that the ribbon is finished on both sides in the same way, this being that both sides of the ribbon are smooth to the touch and have a sheen to them. Now days most satins, but not all are double satins. However there are still a number of single faced satin ribbons available, these tend to be cheaper and have one smooth finished side whilst the reverse remains slightly duller and has a very slight texture to it when you run it through your fingers.
Is This Ribbon Suitable For Outdoor Use?
Yes, this ribbon can be used outdoors for events or weddings, we even use it during the spring and summer in our garden. However bare in mind that over time the sun will fade the colour of the ribbon, when it becomes wet it will get heavier, so if using it for outside bows just bare this in mind as if they get very wet they may temporarily sag. We tend to find that the ribbons last around six months outside in the sun before we notice a big colour change.
